Torvaig Steading B & B is situated at Cullicudden on the Black Isle just a few miles from the City of Inverness, the Capital of the Scottish Highlands

Torvaig Steading Bed and Breakfast is a spacious converted steading in a quiet rural location at Cullicudden on the Black Isle just a few miles from Inverness.

Enjoying superb views of the Cromarty Firth, our luxury bed and breakfast property is located some 16 miles north of Inverness, and approximately 6 miles east of Dingwall and is ideally situated for touring the Highlands of Scotland.

Torvaig Steading provides quality B & B accommodation consisting of 2 guest bedrooms, the one being a double bedroom with full en-suite facilities whilst the other is a twin bedroom with shared bathroom. Both rooms have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. More Information.

We are a strictly "No Smoking" establishment. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Torvaig Steading Bed and Breakfast has a commanding position on the Black Isle overlooking the Cromarty Firth.

The City of Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, is only a short car journey away and is a vibrant city with many shops, restaurants and visitor attractions. The city has a very attractive river-side area with some lovely walks alongside the River Ness which joins Loch Ness to the sea. The Great Glen Way, a 73-mile walking route linking Inverness with Fort William, starts here.

The surrounding area is a paradise for those who enjoy the great outdoors with magnificent mountain scenery, plenty of wildlife and lots of places of historical interest to see. Whilst the Black Isle itself consists of fertile rolling farmland, it is surrounded by the superb mountain and loch scenery of the Highlands with places such as Speyside (of malt whisky fame), the Great Glen, Loch Ness, Fort William and Ben Nevis all being within access to the south and south west for day-trips.

To the north and west of the Black Isle are some even more dramatic and remote landscapes with places such as Plockton, Applecross, Shieldaig, Torridon, Gairloch, Ullapool and even the Isle of Skye all being within reach for days out.

Nearer to home, there are many castles and places of historical interest, Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George to name just three. The latter is a spectacular edifice and well worth a visit, not least because the ramparts provide a superb view of the Moray Firth with sightings of schools of dolphins being a very distinct possibility!

For more information on what to see and do in the area, please see our "Tourist Info" and "Useful Links" pages.
